Wakan Tanka Prod will participate in WOMEX 2026! The event takes place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from October 21 to 25.
This edition promises to be exceptional. The main trade fair and showcases will be hosted at Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, that will be the central hub for the global music scene during the expo.
What is WOMEX and why is it important?
WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) is the most diverse music meeting in the world. It brings together thousands of professionals, artists, labels, and festival directors from over 90 countries.
It serves as a key platform for networking, discovery, and international collaboration. For independent agencies and music labels, WOMEX is a key destination to build global connections.
Representing Wakan Tanka Prod and Wakan Tanka Records
Lora Grigorova, producer and manager, will represent Wakan Tanka Prod and Wakan Tanka Records at WOMEX 2026.
The main objectives for this trip are to discover new booking and distribution opportunities for our roster of artists, meet new music projects and discovering emerging sound trends in world music and global bass.
Furthermore, she will be representing Congona Festival, the event that in 2026 became the first fully focused on cumbia festival in Scandinavia.
Unofficial Opening Party: GMN Colectivo at Azabache Club
As a tradition, the GMN (Global Music Network) collective is hosting its Unofficial Opening Party. The event will take place right after the official WOMEX opening ceremony at Azabache Club.
This special edition will pay tribute to the memory of the late music producer and cultural promoter Dave Watts.
The tribute night will feature a dynamic series of DJ sets from international artists and global beats selectors, including Missex, Chris Tofu, Kosta Kostov, El Especialista, Makala, Ungunga, Mam, Jay and Super Muñeca (Wakan Tanka Prod).
