LAMC 2025 will take place from July 8 to July 12. It promises five days of music, learning, and networking at the Intercontinental New York Times Square. LAMC has been a cornerstone of the Latin music industry for over two decades. Its 26th edition is set to continue the tradition of bringing together artists, executives, and fans to celebrate the diversity and growth of Latin music.
What is LAMC?
The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) was founded by Tomas Cookman, who also created Nacional Records. The event started with a focus on what was once considered “alternative” Latin music. Over the years, however, the lines between alternative and mainstream have blurred. Today, the LAMC serves as a platform for showcasing the variety of genres that make up Latin music. It’s a place where independent and major artists come together to share ideas and build the future of Latin music.
Every year, the LAMC provides a unique opportunity for networking and professional development. It features a packed schedule of panels, workshops, and showcases, offering attendees insights into the latest trends in the Latin music industry. Whether you’re an artist, a journalist, a music executive, or a fan, the LAMC offers something valuable.
A Stage for Emerging and Established Artists
One of the key attractions of LAMC is its showcases, which highlight both rising stars and established names in the Latin music scene. In previous years, the event has featured Latin Grammy winner Fonseca, as well as artists like Bratty, J Noa, Marcelo Rubio, and more. The LAMC is known for its support of emerging talent, giving artists a platform to reach new audiences and make industry connections.
In addition to the music performances, LAMC also honors the Wonder Women of Latin Music, celebrating the contributions of journalists, publicists, and executives who have helped shape the Latin music industry.
Why Attend?
For professionals, LAMC it’s a chance to learn from industry veterans through informative panels and workshops. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, from digital marketing to artist management, helping attendees stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving music landscape. For artists, the conference is an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of key industry players and media.
The 2025 LAMC schedule will be released soon, and it’s expected to include a mix of in-person and virtual events, making it accessible to a global audience. The virtual components have been a huge success, with nearly one million unique viewers tuning in to the previous editions.
